Post-Interview

In my video interview, MSU students Monique Presberry and Keiarra Menefee discussed their personal opinions on their advisers' as well as their study habits and their remedies to their studies habits. Keiarra Menefee, a 19-year-old no preference major sophomore, tells that she feels that her academic adviser, Scott Fitzpatrick, can be helpful sometimes, other times she feels as if she is being rushed out during her advising session. She also tells that her biggest downfall when studying is that she procrastinates. She tries to recover from her procrastination by turning off all electronics and setting deadlines for herself. In Monique Presberry's case, a 19-year-old accounting major, she tells that her academic adviser, Kevin Sydnor, is helpful but the information that she receives can sometimes get repetitive. Presberry also tells about her study habits saying she really does not know how to study but she makes attempts to do it by following the various tips her friends and advisers give her, such as, taking notes. With the relatable interviews and information expressed by the two MSU students in the interview, non-students can now get a better understanding of what college students may think and encounter during their academic journey.
